The ISPO Education Committee is a standing committee of ISPO and plays an active role in overseeing the related educational activities of the Society as directed by the Executive Board. The Committee has the continuing responsibility to review the educational policy of the Society and carry out the roles and responsibilities it has in the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics.
A big part of this activity is involved with promoting, advising on and recognizing the accepted international standards in the field. These standards are published in the most recent version of the 2004 ISPO/WHO document titled, "Guidelines for training personnel in developing countries for prosthetic and orthotic services". The document is available for download for the "Published Documents" section of this website.
